Peter Lawrence
Having attended art college in Bristol for four years specialising in illustration (under the guidance of Peter Reddick) Peter then worked as a freelance illustrator.
After a number of years working in design, he joined the Society of Wood Engravers and began to engrave in 1990.
He has exhibited regularly in their annual touring shows and was elected to full membership in 1998. Peter has since exhibited in the National Print Exhibition, winning one of the engraving awards, and in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. His full time job as Managing Director of Oxford Designers & Illustrators means his engraving output each year is small, but Peter enjoys the luxury of following his instincts and producing work by hand.
